The ANESTHESIOLOGY 2016 annual meeting has a big problem — there’s just too much quality content for any one individual to digest. One of the ways ASA is addressing this issue is through its ever-growing Self-Study program.

The Self-Study program debuted last year with four modules and received standing-room-only participation at kiosk stations that housed them.

This year, the number of sessions has grown to nine, for a total of 4.5 CME potential credits. Several improvements have been made to the self-study format for 2016. This year, each session is professionally narrated and can be completed for CME simply by logging in, clicking a “start” button, listening to the presentation and claiming credit at the end. No other action is required on the part of the user.

Located on Level 1, just outside Room 190, the ASA-staffed Self-Study kiosks are a great place to participate and learn about the program, but they’re not the only place you can use them. All the Self-Study sessions are available online at education.asahq.org and can be taken at your convenience at any time on any device.

Please note that CME credit is only available during the course of the meeting, from Saturday through Wednesday, and that the program is only available to meeting registrants.

The sessions included in the Self-Study program represent the highest-quality education the ANESTHESIOLOGY annual meeting has to offer. But actual, physical space for live presentations at a meeting of this size is finite, and so the Self-Study content is presented to you with the infinite possibilities available to online learners.

They’re also a great way to negotiate one of the best problems a learner can have at an educational meeting – not enough time to attend all the great sessions you’d like.
