Run For The Warriors moves up to Saturday

  • Run For the Warriors
  • Saturday, 6:45 a.m.
  • Boston Common

Signing up for Saturday morning’s Run For The Warriors® 5K Run/Walk in Boston Common affords you some impressive bragging rights. You can say you ran in the oldest park in the United States within the city that hosts the world’s oldest annual marathon.

The Run For The Warriors® 5K Run/Walk will take place Saturday morning at Boston Common.

Better yet, you can say you directly contributed to the well-being of our nation’s wounded military personnel and their families.

This will be the eighth consecutive year ASA has sponsored the Hope For The Warriors® — Run For The Warriors 5K Run/Walk. It was founded in 2006 at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune,

Hope For The Warriors provides a full cycle of care to help restore self, family and hope to post-9/11 service members, their families and families of the fallen.

You can register for the run/walk as an individual or join an existing team, or you can donate a gift amount of your choice.

Finally, this year’s Run For The Warriors offers an extra special incentive to participate. ASA President (2016-17) Jeffrey Plagenhoef, M.D., FASA, and ASA CEO Paul Pomerantz will each be contributing $5 for every runner who finishes ahead of them. This might be the only occasion where you can feel good about hoping our President and CEO underperform in their duties.

See you on Boston Common bright and early tomorrow morning.
