If you already have your FASA designation, you may pick up your FASA pin at Member Services.
The FASA designation is ASA’s highest acknowledgment that recognizes years of dedication to exceptional education, leadership and commitment to the specialty. ASA active members who meet specific qualifications and criteria are invited to apply for the FASA designation.
Eligibility criteria for FASA designation includes:
- Five years continuous ASA Active membership as of FASA application submission date
- Five years continuous ASA Active component membership as of FASA application submission date
- Unrestricted medical license(s)
- Board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology or American Osteopathic Board of Anesthesiology
- Two letters of endorsement from ASA Active members in good standing
- CV and optional bibliography
- Application fee $350 (non-refundable). The application process must be completed within 12 months of receiving payment and/or submitting an application or the fee will be charged again.
- Must meet six total qualifications, all within the past five years of FASA application submission date.
